Full course description

This face-to-face two day event is for middle and high school teachers. The focus of this professional learning is creating Standards-Based Formative Assessments and Data Analysis for Instructional Planning. Participants will learn the process for creating standards-based formative assessments. Participants will explore a variety of formative assessment types, practice the deconstruction of Georgia Standards of Excellence and explore depth of knowledge associated with those standards. Participants will use technology to develop a variety of standards-based formative assessments. A process for data analysis will also be modeled. Participants will explore students' achievement/growth data and learn to make instructional decisions based within the data.
Date: June 20-21; 8:30-3:30pm

Participants: limited to 20 middle school and 20 high school teachers, stipend of $150 for successful completion of course
