2024 Summer PL: Scaffolding Language Through Learning

General education classroom instruction can be inaccessible for English learners, leaving them disengaged and excluded from classroom learning activities. Participants will gain an understanding of the legal imperative we have to share collective ownership of instructional equity for multilingual learners. Through direct modeling and application to classroom activities, we will get to know key methods for making lesson delivery, content, and assessment comprehensible. If time allows, participants will work in small groups to scaffold a learning activity.
