Full course description
The ABA Teacher Cohort is a monthly Professional Learning Community meeting comprised of all elementary, middle, and high school ABA classroom teachers, the district Autism Facilitator, and Special Education Coordinators who oversee the ABA classrooms at various schools. These classrooms are unique in that they use specific methodologies of Applied Behavioral Analysis and are overseen by behavior specialists (Board Certified Behavior Analysts or BCBAs and Registered Behavior Technicians or RBTs) from Kadiant, a third-party agency with whom Hall County Schools currently contracts. The teachers will meet ten times throughout the year for one hour sessions to collaborate and share instructional strategies, behavioral strategies, visual supports, and other resources as well as troubleshoot individual student issues. Meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and sign-in forms will be submitted as documentation.
